Open: Project Engineering Manager
W.
Silver, Inc. requires a Project Engineering Manager for its rolling mill
at Vinton, Texas.
The position will be responsible for: performing manufacturing
engineering duties that involve planning and implementing engineering
projects, production processes, plant layouts and equipment
specifications for a steel mill leading to improvement in productivity,
such as refurbishment; maintaining and designing new passes for hot
rolling of steel products; maintaining and updating mill control system
using LabVIEW platform; coordinating quality control for a steel mill;
and providing guidance to purchasing department for offshore vendor
development and conduct vendor quality audits for offshore
suppliers. Lead and directs the
work of others.
The
applicant is required to have: a Bachelor’s of Science in
Mechanical Engineering; a minimum of 2 to 3 years of industrial
experience, quality engineering experience, and machine tool and
machining experience (such as BobCAD knowledge). Must have proficiency in MS-Office and
any design software (AutoCAD/TurboCAD is preferred). Must be fluent in written and verbal
communication.
